Spruce Point Park In-Land Marina with Alarmed Security

Spruce Point Park In-Land Marina

Spruce Point Park In-Land Marina Accessing Lesser Slave Lake

Spruce Point Park In-land Marina hosts 100+ berths available to rent. The marina docks, berths, and shores are examined regularly with preseason repair & maintenance to assure safe boating access for Park guests and visitors.  The floating docks leading out to Marina Berths are armed with sensitive sensors that activate a very loud siren calling Park Security to inspect what has activated the Marina Access Alarm system.   Berth renters can rest knowing that there is some level of security used to bring attention to unauthorized dock access in the marina basin.

Many of our in-season guests and visitors may not realize it, but Spruce Point Park Marina is utilized by commercial fisherman during the off-seasons to launch and trailer their commercial fishing boats.  Spruce Point Park Marina operates as a Harbour Authority for Lesser Slave Lake, and adhere to the Government of Canada's, Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) as the marina's regulatory body.  Spruce Point Park as Harbour Authority is responsible for maintaining access and regulating use of the marina basin, boat launch, and berths under the federal DFO Harbour Authority Act.

The Marina Store always keeps copies of the current year's Fishing Regulations as released by Alberta Government's Sustainable Resources Department.  Campground guests and marina visitors that are planning on fishing should take time to read the current year's Fishing Regulations as Lesser Slave Lake is regularly patrolled by Alberta Sustainable Resources & Fish & Wildlife Officers out to enforce current boating & fishing regulations.
